Superior from the North Shore highlands. Photos from
the popular Gooseberry Falls to Minnesota's highest
waterfall, High Falls on the Pigeon River, can be

- Some rivers can be scenic without large waterfalls.
The Temperance River is the most notable example of
this, and several photographs of this river are
included. |

Superior
Shore - included photos exhibit the spectacular rocky shoreline of
Lake Superior. Palisade Head and Shovel point are the best known palisades
(series of cliffs) on Lake Superior's North Shore. |

Wildlife
- photos include various creatures inhabiting the North Shore. The
collection currently includes photos of white-tailed deer and a red
squirrel. Photos of other animals will be added in the future as they
become available. |

Duluth
- photographs showcase Duluth's world-class harbor, the canal park region,
and other scenic highlights throughout the city. Landmarks currently
included are the 100-year-old Aerial Lift Bridge and Enger Memorial Tower. |

Wildflowers, & Plant Life - images feature urban gardens such as
the Duluth Rose Garden as well as plants, fungi, and wildflowers that
inhabit the Northwoods along Lake Superior's North Shore. |

- photos reveal spectacular shows of fall foliage and snow covered
landscapes throughout the lower North Shore, adding to the already
dramatic area scenery. |
